The Big Power of Small Business
Last week I had the opportunity to go to Washington, DC and attend one of the nation’s largest summits of small business owners. It was great to reconnect with companies across the country I’ve worked with and hear from policymakers focused on building the economy.
Small businesses are the backbone of Massachusetts’ economy. I’m looking forward to going to the State House and fighting for greater funding for storefront improvement grants, incentives for small business owners to provide workforce training, boosts to urban manufacturing, and the creation of a central online resource for business owners to understand regulations.
We need regional economic development policies that work for everyone in the Commonwealth. By putting an emphasis on small businesses we can continue to create jobs that pay a living wage and support our vibrant communities in the district.
